Course Assistantship
ES50: Introduction to Electrical Engineering
Spring 2021, 2022, 2023
In ES50 students explore the fundamentals of circuit analysis and logic design. The course also introduces a number of engineering subfields including control theory, signal processing, and semiconductor device functioning. Practical aspects of lecture material are explored in weekly lab sessions. My responsibilities as a course assistant included:
- Hosting problem solving sessions for students to clarify course material
- Running lab sessions during which I supported students in breadboarding circuits, using benchtop equipment, and developing code
- Mentoring final project teams
- Grading problem sets, labs, and exams
I was awarded the Bok Center Certificate of Distinction in Teaching in two of my three semesters as a course assistant.
ES20R: The Physics of Sports
Summer 2022
ES20R is a project based course that introduces students to mechanics, modeling, data collection, and statistical analysis through the lens of motion in sports. As a course assistant in the summer prior to the course’s initial run, my responsibilities included:
- Testing the Komotion motion sensing platform developed for the course
- Providing feedback on interactive Jupyter notebooks illustrating course material
